Alpha Xi Delta’s Philanthropic Focus

The Kindly Hearts Initiative

The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our national philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Deltas across the country support two Key Impact Organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, making a national and regional difference under the umbrella of our focus.

Letters of Love

All Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations participate in Letters of Love, Alpha Xi Delta’s national letter writing fundraising campaign. Held annually during the month of November this campaign benefits Alpha Xi Delta’s two Key Impact Organizations, StandUp for Kids and FosterClub.

Our Chapter's Impact:

The sisters of the Gamma Tau Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta are proud to provide support to children and youth experiencing foster care or homelessness through the Kindly Hearts Initiative! The Kindly Hearts Initiative focuses on supporting two key impact organizations: Stand Up for Kids and FosterClub.

In the past year we were able to support our local area by supporting Ada schools through volunteer and fundraising efforts. We are happy to say we will be continuing our local support by directly supporting foster care organizations around Ada, Ohio. We are proud to join Alpha Xi Delta sisters all over the nation in bringing our contributions to our town! You may find us selling tickets at various sporting events for Ada Middle and High Schools, making blankets for the Animal Humane Society, along with other drives and events throughout the year!

We also host various philanthropy events during the semester and all the funds raised go directly to support the children and youth experiencing foster care and homelessness. Some of the events to look out for on campus are Xi Man (where the men of campus get to show off their talents and style), Mac and Cheese with the Alpha Xi’s (where you can enjoy a nice homemade meal), and many more-- so keep your eyes open!

The Gamma Tau Chapter would like to thank the student community of Ohio Northern University, family and friends, and the entire Ada community. Without you we would not be able to provide the resources we have been able to. Your support means the world.
