New Member Program
We strive to bring women into our Sisterhood who are going to be leaders, contributors and a Sister in every sense of the word. Real Merit and Worth: The New Member Program was designed with this in mind – enhancing leadership skills, setting goals, understanding who Alpha Xi Delta is at her core and providing opportunities for our newest members to create deep, meaningful relationships with each other, the chapter and our national organization. When you join Alpha Xi Delta you will discover who you really are, all with the help of your Sisters.
What are you most excited about for serving as New Member Orientation Director?
"I am so excited to help kickstart the new member program this upcoming fall especially since we have a completely new revamped program! The new member program is an important time to bone with your new member class, get to know sisters, and learn what it means to be an Alpha Xi Delta. The new program will help the new member class grown even closer and will relate to them on a more modern level and I am so excited to see them grow through this experience. I can't wait to welcome all the new members this fall!"
-Ashley Competti, NMOD
What was your most special memory from your New Member period and why?
“My most special memory from my new member period would be from the night of Big Little reveal. My big is the person who changed my mind about Greek life and convinced me to go through recruitment. She changed my life for the better and I'm so glad she did. Finally getting her as my big was special to me because she was already my best friend, but this brought us even closer. Meeting my big was one of the best things to happen to me. I can't wait to see my future in Alpha Xi Delta unfold.”
–Montana Moore, Fall 2015 New Member Class
What was your favorite part of your New Member period?
"My favorite part of the new member period was meeting all of my sisters and learning about Alpha Xi Delta! I really connected with the girls in my new member class as well as the other sisters in the chapter during that time. I also met my big, family, and made a lot of new friends!"
–Cece Speck, Spring 2019 New Member Class
What was the most important thing you learned during your New Member period?
“The most important thing I learned is to be dependable. For our organization to run smoothly, we all have to keep our commitments. I also learned that this is an amaXIng group of girls! My favorite part of my New Member period was getting to know sisters better. We spent so much time together during those few weeks that by the end, it felt like we had actually known each other for so much longer. And during this time we got to participate in socials and sisterhood bonding!”
– Kirsten Adamson, Fall 2014 New Member Class
